I don't know whether this will help clarify or confuse, but
the parents of
the Walter de Burgh you mention (1230-1271) were Richard de
Burgh, L of
Connaught (d.1242) and  EGIDA, dau. of Walter de Lacy, Lord
Paletine of
Meath (1172-1241) and MARGARET, dau. of WILLIAM DE BRAOSE
(1177-1200) and
Maud de St. Valerie, Lady of la Haie.
Acceded: 1248.  1St Earl Of Ulster.
Lord Of Connacht.

CP, Cokayne, (I-385-6), clearly makes her a sister of
Edward Baliol, son of King John Baliol, and therefore a
granddaughter of John and Devorguilla.
